A Whole Lotta Music
Watched the Eagles Farewell Tour 1: Live in Melbourne DVD today. It was a nice, long concert – over two hours of great, live music. An Eagles farewell concert? Sad. Some things should never end… Anyway, there’s still hope. They called it ‘Farewell Tour 1’, so hopefully there’ll be 2, 3, 4, 5 etc…
Listened to John Legend’s ‘Get Lifted’ CD.
Also listened to James Blunt’s ‘Back To Bedlam’ CD. ‘Goodbye My Lover’ was, by far, the best song on the album. IMHO.
It’s been a long, long time since I’ve actually listened to an entire album of a ‘new’ or ‘current’ music artiste. By that I mean an artiste who made his/her debut before, let’s say, the mid ‘90s. Ask me about artistes after that period and you’ll get a blank stare… until I get a chance to google it. We’re usually listening to music from the ‘80s, ‘70s, ‘60s, ‘50s, ‘40s… well, you get the picture. Go on then, guess my age… Hah! You’re about 15 years off!
The little one will be back tomorrow, after her short ‘holiday’ with the in-laws. Looking forward to that. While she was there, she got to bathe one of the dogs. Apparently, she did a pretty good job of it. So I guess from now on, that’ll be one less chore for me… bathing Thaïs!
