It’s been a while since I last wrote a ‘What Did You Say?’ post. Here are some recent howlers, courtesy of my darling daughter:
Thaïs’ most recent favorite program is ‘Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grater’
During this season, since she can’t go out to play everyday because of the rain, she likes to sit in front of the TV with a bowl of ‘potcorn’ or ‘marshbellows’
Her current favorite storybook is ‘Jack And The Beanstop’
Her current TV hero is ‘Hairy Potner’ (Harry Potter)
When I’m driving, if it happens to rain she insists on switching on the wipers to ‘clean the drizzlings on the windscream’
And finally,
Like all kids, she loves to splash about in the rain – with her raincoat and ‘protector of the head’ (a.k.a. hood)
I looooooove kid language. These are classics.
Until he was 5, my eldest called guitar a “buggatar”, and it was my 2nd who first labeled farts ‘bumbums”…
@Pete: Bumbums??? Now that’s hilarious. I must tell my daughter about this….
