My daughter is now officially Too Big For Her Boots. I was getting ready to go out the other day, and as usual I was running late. Thaïs couldn’t decide whether she wanted to go along with me, and as usual she waited till the last minute to make up her mind. So I said to her, “You’d better hurry up and get dressed. Don’t delay me any further or else I’ll get really mad.”
To which she replied, “Mummy, you won’t get mad, you’re already mad!”

I’ve always preferred short hair. To put it differently, I don’t like long hair. As soon as it reaches a certain length, I run to my hairdresser, said length being not more than 2 1/2 inches. Thaïs has never seen me with long hair (yes, I did grow my hair ONCE.. a long time ago) so when I (jokingly) said that I was going to grow my hair, her initial reaction was to laugh it off. Then, when she saw I was serious she said, “You can’t grow your hair long.. it’s so short and it never looks combed…”
ohhh my….! she’s hilarious! I can’t wait to see her again Tanya!
@Rael: Thanks for the comment!
Keep ‘em coming, eh?? BTW, you think a 4yo calling her mother ‘mad’ is hilarious?!?!?
yes, actually!….these kids are sooo witty, intentional or not! I teach 100+ kids at the foundation, mostly around ages 4-7 and my goodness, its pure, unadulterated entertainment! And i think Thais is most fun of em all!
I know… I know… It’s so much fun when she says stuff like this. Actually, I didn’t know 4-year-olds had a sense of humor…
